    convenient en-suite room

Consider requesting a room with an en-suite rather than shared facilities for added convenience during your stay.

The washbasin was annoyingly located in the room instead of the en-suite, which is less than ideal for privacy. The duvets were way too thick for the weather, making sleep a bit uncomfortable. On top of that, the breakfast wasn't as hearty as I've had at other places—felt like it could've used more variety. Parking on the street was a gamble. depending on the day, you might be walking a fair distance. the sheets had a strong perfumed detergent scent that was off-putting, and instead of stunning views, I got a glimpse of the busy harbor work instead.

    hot breakfast
    cozy twin room
    perfumed sheets

The hot breakfast was delish! The location's perfect with the ferry and town nearby. Just wished sheets weren't so perfumed. Still, enjoyed my 2 nights in a cozy twin room! 😊

    cooked-to-order breakfast
    inconvenient washbasin
    shower upgrade

The cooked-to-order breakfast was a highlight.

I found the shower needed an urgent upgrade, which was quite disappointing. the washbasin in the room felt awkward and inconvenient for privacy. Parking can also be a significant hassle, especially during peak times when you may end up quite far from the guest house.

    freshly brewed coffee

A commendable fit for short visits in Stornoway with high value for money. I enjoyed the breakfast with freshly brewed coffee, which was a nice way to start the day. Make sure to check the parking situation in advance as it can be tricky at times.

    amazing hosts

Couples looking for a warm stay

A real home from home! ! Shona and Ali are just AMAZING, it felt like staying with friends. The accommodation was so comfortable and clean, and the view from our room was breathtaking. Plus, we had breakfast cooked to order, and it was just what we needed after a long day. They even offered us a key for the outside door, which is great for late nights! We walked into town easily, and the nearby parking was a life-saver!

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but considering the location, it was still alright.

    charming atmosphere
    delightful soup
    inconvenient washbasin
    variable parking
    overly thick duvets

Charming atmosphere with a lovely soup served for breakfast, making mornings delightful. The room, while clean and comfortable, had a washbasin located in the same space instead of an en-suite, which was somewhat inconvenient. Parking availability varied, sometimes leaving us further from the venue than desired, but the overall stay was quite enjoyable.

    Amazing stay with stunning views!

Spent 2 nights here with my group, and wow, what a gem! The breakfast was a real treat, and I loved the aroma of fresh coffee. The hosts really went out of their way for us, even giving us tips on local spots. Just a tad tricky to find parking some days, but it was fine overall.
